Jackie is passionate about engaging her students to help them grow as string players, musicians, and active learners. She believes it’s important for students to be involved in developing their own musical goals, and she encourages all of her students to participate in ensembles to get involved in the rich community of young musicians in our area. Jackie holds annual studio recitals and regularly prepares her students for competitions, auditions, and festivals.
Ms. Timberlake has studied Suzuki violin pedagogy from beginner level through book 4 with Sandford Reuning and Ed Kreitman. She completed two semesters of graduate level Suzuki courses at Ithaca College and additionally attended the Ithaca Suzuki Summer Institute for further study and teacher observation.
